The Quilted Stitch is a long time hobby and dream/turned business by a mother-daughter team from Kingsley, Iowa. Lisa (Swain) Beeson started sewing at the age of 5.  Her love for sewing blossomed into designing Barbie doll clothes and clothing for herself growing up.  By age ten she made her first large quilt, and the rest is history.  Lisa has sewn from her home for 25 years, creating everything from custom dog clothes to these beautiful quilts.  During this time she has earned numerous sewing and quilting awards. Rita Swain is Lisa's mother and has also sewn her entire life. She has created many hand-quilted quilts over the years, and is just learning the new art of computer quilting.  Needless to say, she is enjoying every minute of the challenge. Angie Milligan (right) is Lisa's daughter.  She also enjoys sewing and quilting but now devotes her time to graphic design and photography.  Angie is the designer of our "scrapbook photo squares" and the sole creator of this "magnificent" website :)
